Howdy!

It’s been a while since I posted any updates and a lot has happened in this time. Firstly, I changed jobs! Yeah! I am now in a position that is more akin to what I did before and a lot less stressful. Those are the good things. The bad things are that I work weekends and only get home past 7h30 every night. But I am enjoying it and see a lot of room for growth in the company, which is good.

We’ve just come back from a holiday in London. Well, I say holiday, actually Morne was there for work for 3 weeks and i joined him on his last week. It was great to see old friends again. Naturally I did a LOT of shopping! Living in Hong Kong has its perks but I certainly am not rich enough to shop in the designer shops as everyone else does. There is no middle ground here. Its high end or market stalls. So going to the UK was great as I stocked up on a lot of work clothes and shoes for summer. Oh summer! It’s back! I’m sitting here with all the windows and sliding door open. Our aircons are still out due to the renovations on the building so we have to rely on fresh air for now. Now as good as fresh air sounds, it really doesn’t help. It’s 95% humidity and hot and not a breeze. You really do need an aircon. Hopefully they will be done with the renovations soon which means our aircons will be installed again. It also means that the scaffolding will be taken down and we will see daylight again for the first time in 6 months. Can’t wait!! Poor Calypso gets cabin fever living in the dark.
